Jonathan Day - Whirling Log Navajo Silver Cuff
Coin wrought ingot triangular bar with antique Navajo stamping, including a whirling log (sometimes referred to as the flatfoot, or swastika but used for centuries for religious and good luck affiliation) centered with arrow tips alongside. This story bracelet could be narrated as a good luck in the journey or hunt symbolic cuff for protection. Inspired by vintage Navajo silver jewelry.
Jonathan Day is a resident of Flagstaff, Arizona, where he makes antique-inspired Navajo jewelry using antiquated techniques of melting silver coinage into ingot and rolling and smithing into custom jewelry, as well as antique stamps for aesthetic and accuracy.
He has become world famous for his talent and has done work for BEAMS+ and RRL. We are pleased to host a collection of his hand-wrought jewelry, through his friendship with one of our owners.
