Jonathan Day - Whirlig Log Navajo Stamped Cuff
Coin wrought ingot triangular bar with antique Navajo stamps of whirling log(sometimes referred to as the flatfoot, or swastika but used for centuries for religious and good luck affiliation) and arrow. This story can be narrated as a lucky hunter, or offer good fortune to a journey seeker. Inspired by antique Navajo silver jewelry.
Jonathan Day is a resident of Flagstaff, Arizona, where he makes antique-inspired Navajo jewelry using antiquated techniques of melting silver coinage into ingot and rolling and smithing into custom jewelry, as well as antique stamps for aesthetic and accuracy.
He has become world famous for his talent and has done work for BEAMS+ and RRL. We are pleased to host a collection of his hand-wrought jewelry, through his friendship with one of our owners.
