Jonathan Day - Thunderbird & Teepee Navajo Stamped Cuff
Coin wrought ingot triangular bar with antique Navajo stamps of thunderbird and teepee. This story can be narrated to offer protection to the home or tribe, or perhaps envoke a protector spirit for safety and security. Inspired by antique Navajo silver jewelry.
Jonathan Day is a resident of Flagstaff, Arizona, where he makes antique-inspired Navajo jewelry using antiquated techniques of melting silver coinage into ingot and rolling and smithing into custom jewelry, as well as antique stamps for aesthetic and accuracy.
He has become world famous for his talent and has done work for BEAMS+ and RRL. We are pleased to host a collection of his hand-wrought jewelry, through his friendship with one of our owners.
